Woman Robbed After Leaving Bingo Hall
Most bingo players do not imagine that they will be robbed when coming or going from their favorite bingo hall. Many can learn from what happended at a bingo hall this past weekend. A woman escaped a harrowing experience this past weekend in Chorley, United Kingdom. The forty year old woman was leaving her local bingo hall when she was attacked and robbed of £300 in cash.Remaining anonymous, the woman was leaving the local bingo hall when a man pushed her over and standing over her before trying to steal her pocketbook. The woman attempted to thwart her attacker by struggling for her bag, but the perpetrator managed to unzip the pocketbook and take out her wallet. Inside the wallet was the £300 in cash.
Andy Bramhall is the sergeant investigating the attack and he stated that the woman was not hurt and hopes that any witnesses to the event will contact the local police office in Chorley. The man is believed to be between 22 and 25 years old and of medium build. It is also believed that there may have been a second man involved. The incident occurred between 9:30 and 9:50 on Saturday August 30th and anyone who may have seen something is encouraged to come forward.
Players should always remember when they are leaving any bingo hall or other gambling establishment that they should take extra precautions, especially at night. Always travel in pairs or have a security guard walk with you to your vehicle if possible. Be aware of your surroundings and if possible carry something such as pepper spray or mace for defense.
