Television Advertisements not the focus of Mecca Bingo
According to recent reports, Mecca Bingo will be focusing on SEO and PPC options instead of beginning a television advertising battle with other online bingo operators who are offering free bingo, like Foxy and Gala.

Mecca will be focusing on PPC which is Pay Per Click and SEO which is Search engine optimization. Rank Interactive Development is the parent company of the Mecca Brand and Angus Nisbet is the director of gaming at Rank. He commented that the huge burst of television advertising in May of last year was a shock to them however they have focused similarly on sign up bonuses.

Angus also stated that on a good night at a Mecca bingo hall around 100,000 players are competing while online up to 20,000 is a good night. He went on to say that converting existing bingo hall players to online would be more profitable than a television advertising campaign.

Angus also commented on the free bingo strategy. He commented that it was not a sustainable strategy stating: “Foxy and Cashcade have grabbed a lot of traffic using that model, but that is not a long term strategy. We’ve operated free bingo in the clubs, and although it fills the club, it annoys existing customers. These aren’t people that come back.”
