Just over a month Margaret Shearer of Scotland was the first to become Scotland’s first £1 million bingo jackpot winner.

Ms. Shearer says not much has changed for her except for shopping for new homes and new cars that is, but claims that money has not changed her at all. But she is not rushing into any purchases so far she has not found a new home or car that she likes. She has only bought a nice new jacket for herself, saying “I know people usually say that they won’t change if they win lots of money, but I really meant it.”

It definitely hasn’t changed her passion for bingo she still plays several times a week at her favorite bingo haunt, The Forge’s Mecca bingo hall. Ms. Shearer says “I love my bingo it’s a social thing for me,” she said. “We were here Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Sunday,” she added. “And at least I won’t have to worry about the price of the books any more!” Good luck must run in her family because her best bingo buddy, who just happens to be her mother, has won £140 and £74 just recently.

Her winning could not have come at a better time, it was just three weeks after she had lost her job at McVitie’s Biscuits.
