Online bingo is growing according to information that was released last week by bingo player portal BingoPort.co.uk. Internet bingo use in the United Kingdom significantly over the past six months. The British site also stated that the average daily player numbers across all UK focused bingo operators had increased by about 19 percent since September.

Scott Logan, Managing Director for BingoPort.co.uk said, "I don't think this increase has taken anyone that works in the online bingo industry by surprise. As the only company here in the UK collecting industry wide data, we've seen this coming for quite a while."

Logan also said that the main factor in the recent rise in the proliferation of bingo operators taking their message to players through mainstream media marketing campaigns. This comes after the strict policies for television advertising were relaxed by UK authorities last year.

"What we have today is the big online bingo clubs such as FoxyBingo.com, SunBingo.co.uk, GalaBingo.co.uk, Bingo.Ladbrokes.com and the newly opened 888Ladies.com aggressively using media to acquire players in order to gain a foothold in the growing marketplace", said Logan. "We expect this to continue for some time yet."

BingoPort.co.uk stated they are continually monitoring the UK online bingo industry and as Summer begins, which is their traditional slow time in online gambling they expect the growth to slow.
