The Wigan Warriors and Mecca Bingo have teamed up together for the very first time. Mecca Bingo will be sponsoring the Wigan Warriors for a twelve month time period according to the terms of a new sponsorship deal.

The two paired up to help the impact of the current recession. Local regeneration projects are underway to help areas that suffer from high unemployment rates, which is exactly where the area of Wigan fits in.

The Wigan Warriors will now wear the Mecca Bingo website logo on both sides of their shirts for the 2009 Super League rugby season and if the partnership does well, Mecca Bingo could be back for the next season.

Totesport will continue to sponsor the Wigan Warriors and their logo will be featured on the sleeves of the uniform shirt. Their logo will also be seen on the back of the shorts of the uniform, which of course is sure to garner some attention.
